I don't think I fit the control group since I have 20 years of being a sidha with seven advanced techniques for the last ten, not to mention an entire pantheon of support and higher practices and so on. I would finish meditating and then go run to spark a joint knowing how much more better the absolute would spontaneously flow into the relative with my personality expanded with the marijuana induced narcosis. Thanks Bob for setting the baseline for platitudes. At least the thread now covers all bases... :) BTW, TM isn't prayer. If you're praying then you're not meditating. TM is incantory mantra japa with mental entrainment. ******** As I noted, RJ has never let TM work because, by his own admission above, he continues to use drugs which he agreed to quit before starting TM, thereby making it impossible for RJ to grow in consciousness. Regarding whether TM can be seen as prayer or not, here is what MMY said about it: "It is worth noting that some years earlier, when the Maharishi had been asked whether his meditation was in fact prayer, he answered that it was indeed a 'most refined' and 'powerful' prayer." http://www.paulmason.info/themaharishi/mmych17.htm Bob Brigante http://geocities.com/bbrigante/updates.html To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
