Thanks Bob for setting the baseline for platitudes. At least the 
thread now covers all bases...  :)  BTW, TM isn't prayer. If you're 
praying then you're not meditating. TM is incantory mantra japa with 
mental entrainment.

As I noted, RJ has never let TM work because, by his own admission 
above, he continues to use drugs which he agreed to quit before 
starting TM, thereby making it impossible for RJ to grow in 
consciousness. 

Regarding whether TM can be seen as prayer or not, here is what MMY 
said about it:

"It is worth noting that some years earlier, when the Maharishi had 
been asked whether his meditation was in fact prayer, he answered 
that it was indeed a 'most refined' and 'powerful' prayer."
