"It is worth noting that some years earlier, when the Maharishi had
been asked whether his meditation was in fact prayer, he answered
that it was indeed a 'most refined' and 'powerful' prayer."

------If it's a most refined and powerful prayer, then to which deity is the powerful and refined prayer being made to? I know the answer, don't answer that, der. The answer is that the mantras are the names of the deities and that saying the names is like prayer, or you can just call it silent mantra japa of the devata. Of course since TM mantras actually aren't the names of the deities therefore they also cannot be mantra japa of the deity, and so actually aren't prayers to the divine. So instead, TM is a refined and powerful prayer because it's not an actual prayer.  TM is also not worship because it's not Vedic, since the TM mantras are just meaningless sounds, or if not, on the other hand, on the other hand, oh shit, the needle got caught in the purva mimansa groove.

I ran out of smokes and all this talk about smoking is making me want to run out at 2:00 am and get a pack against all reason and sanity. But I'm not gonna. I am not allowed to use the credit card any more for these sorts of things. I'm gonna maintain. Love you Guys. It's been really some fun outing myself lately. Too bad there's no campfire and marshmallows. Emaho!
