Vaj, have you ever come across anything backing MMY's position regarding the "negative" impact of the mantra "om" on householders. He seems to be unique in this perspective. Other yogis and saints don't have a problem with it. I've had interesting experiences with the extended (or galanded?) bija mantra "shrim" associated with Lakshmi, shakti of prosperity. It took me awhile to do this because I felt like a spiritual whore, but when my income stream gets too low, I do japa with "Om shrim mahalakshmiyei swaha." After several days my patient load increases. Anectdodal, I know, but it happens too frequently to dismiss. I also find the mantra to be very, very soothing. -Peter > > > > To subscribe, send a message to: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Or go to: > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ > and click 'Join This Group!' > Yahoo!
