-------------------It was two weeks. I did heroin a couple of times during my two weeks. I figured it would be metabolized quicker than pot or LSD. (That was the only time I did it.) Had a great initiation. Don’t try this at home, though.

I remember there being a requirement to abstain from “drugs” for 3 weeks before being initiated. After that, I don’t remember a specific drug-free time requirement “necessary to give ... the feeling of well-being”. RJ, did you fulfill the 3-week requirement?
OOH, the 3-week thing is somewhat understandable. OTOH, it is like asking the person who wants to meditate to relieve stress, to be stress-free for 3 weeks prior to becoming initiated. “DUH! If I could do that, I would not need to meditate.”
