Since all of these of related to sensory experience, the duality loops that exist on these levels are brought to unity as well; different senses are connected to different levels moreso than others, so (in my tradition one works with the senses and the various lokas). Part of the process involves being able to integrate these experiences with eyes open. Different levels of unity are explained. Some eyes-open meditation works with light, others with complete utter darkness--you just work with everything that comes up when you activate and contact the light that is behind all consciousness, it's the common element behind all the dimensions. Once you know what is arising, you can purify that, so you are no longer conditioned. I know some people have had all the lokas come up at once(!), but everyone is different. There is a common element in all the dimensions--something they all share--so you need to know how to discriminate that in all levels. Once you have the recognition, you can learn to relax and bring anything to Unity. One first works with gross thought, but later subtle and super-subtle thought streams and how they project. There are a number of "short-cut" yogas to accomplish this. Eventually all phenomenon "self-liberate" of and by themselves. There are literally dozens of practices one can apply, depending on your own unique manifestation of samsara and nirvana--so it's hard to cover it all in a paragraph, but that is the short of it.
