Not everyone likes this book, some are turned off immediately. I 
picked it up almost 30 years ago and my life has been different ever 
since. 

It doesn't offer a lot of esoteric techniques to create 
enlightenment,in fact I don't think the word 'enlightenment' is even 
in it, however the explanation of why we are here is relatively 
simple and reasurring and pretty much encompasses all spiritual 
teachings.

I think his dictation of the book was simply dharana-dyana-samadhi 
on the subject in question and it was revealed or known.
