It is not uncommon for the Vedic sages and incarnations of Vishnu to
pose as inept, as Rama does (read the Yoga Vasistha, in which Rama
pretends to be miserable in order to draw out from Vasistha the Vedic
wisdom that suffering humanity needs to hear). MMY has indicated that
he is slow-playing the unfolding of enlightenment because a quick
unfolding would cause chaos in material life:

Maharishi said at Seelisberg Maharishi said (1979):"Only a ridiculous
movement can survive. Otherwise our adversaries would destroy us to
the last extent. The time will come, where I will show my real face.
Go ahead and do your work !"

So exercise patience and good humor and have some confidence in the
mission of Guru Dev and his envoy, MMY.
