*********** What he did say was that he did not know if a group of 10,000 was enough to produce the desired effect, a very reasonable statement, which he has re-iterated in recent press conferences, saying that it might take "hundreds of centuries" for the pundits to establish Vedic India (it's just a difficult task in the Kaliyuga, there are no guarantees that darkness will be eradicated enough so that Vedic civilization can be restored). And unless the political situation in India is tranquil enough (so that Congress Party thugs would not attack the pundits groups as they did before at the behest of the chief minister in Madhya Pradesh), and unless there is sufficient funding to maintain large groups in a sustained manner (which there is now, but not at that time Kaplan refers to), it was entirely reasonable to adopt a cautious approach to starting large pundit groups. But now the funding is in place, and there are groups of MMY pundits all over India, as visitors there have posted on this list.
