With the help of an auditor (one who listens) you "return" to an incident, recounting it as if you were truly there again. As one continues to recount it, more details come to light and one truly is reexperiencing it. Theory is, anything you can truly fully confront can't effect you. Sometimes, tears, anger, antagonism but if you persist, smiles at the end. Still blows my mind every time I do it. Have handled things that happened at birth, asthma, death of a spouse, etc. Check out www.dianetics.org for more info. I've audited 400-500 hours and received auditing as well. It works.
