You guess correctly. Specifically, I've recently started noticing that part of me that is not involved in the drama, no matter how overwhelmed the rest of me gets. Utterly mundane, not the least bit flashy, but very profound. Early on in my adventure with Waking Down I did have some really flashy experiences (e.g., green plants now look almost psychedelically vivid to me), but they now strike me as inconsequential compared to awareness of that silent witness. I think a lot of seekers are really just looking for the flash, but I have a strong feeling that all that flashy stuff is nothing more than recreational, human nervous system tricks... subtle mind-body as playground. Sure, it's fun and entertaining, but is it truly and deeply spiritual? I don't think so. > But I hope that doesn't blind him from accepting the > possibility that another person's celibacy is a natural > state for him. Of course, I can accept that possibility. I've had my own periods of natural celibacy in the last year. In fact, during one of those periods I had some really groovy experiences while taking some courses in Taoist erotic massage with the Body Electric School. It was amazing to discover how incredibly electrified the little guy can be while completely flaccid. I'd even like to experience that state again some day. But, I consider it purely recreational and having nothing to do with awakening. > Saniel Bonder's Waking Down philosophy and practice may > have a handle on some significant truths, but there may > be more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in > his philosophy. Or any philosophy, for that matter. Alex To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!' Yahoo!
