I can see your point. > You are describing a transition in understanding/experience > that is taking place for you. It sounds good. Those of us > who studied with Maharishi would say you are having a taste > of CC. What would the Waking Down folks say to that? Honestly, I don't know what the WD folks would say, but a number of WD teachers were longtime TM teachers who devoted decades to the TMO, so I'm sure those opinions have been voiced at some point. Personally, I could never wrap my mind around any of TM's teachings about enlightenment, and I can't even get through a single page of Saniel Bonder's writing. My approach to WD has been entirely from the neck down, so to speak, and very innocent, as there can be no moodmaking if I haven't studied about the moods I could make. I did try bringing my mind into it a couple months ago, and all I did was get hung up on misconceptions and conceptual fragments. In frustration I finally just said f*ck it! I am the unawakened! I am the unenlightenment! And, it wasn't long after that that I first noticed that silent witness. Go figure. > Just for the sake of discussion, let's suppose it's a taste > of CC. Let's see, refinement of the senses... > wouldn't "green plants now look almost psychedelically > vivid to me" be in that direction? I suppose it could be. And, sure, it's groovy when a tree can move me to tears, but dammit, if the Universe is gonna dish out flashy experiences to me, why couldn't it be something practical, like the ability to fly so that I wouldn't have to drive my gas guzzling truck to the gym and pilates class? > (that is, assuming you are not talking about taking some > recreational drug or other ;-) Nope, my druggie days are over. Pot makes me paranoid, and I hate that awful gnawing in the stomach from shrooms. Never did any pills/powders/chemicals except snorting some stepped-on coke, one time, back in 1980.
