On the topic of Shankaracharya and statues and Guru Dev and snapshots...

Adjacent to the Jyotir Math is the famed mulberry tree of Shankara
(said to be about two thousands years old!), said to have been planted
by him, a splendid huge natural wonder. In a small cave just by the
tree is the 'Shankara Gupha', the cave of Adi Shankara. I was fortunate
enough on one occasion to be allowed access. I took a couple of snaps.
Here is one to share, showing the statue of Shankara and a friendly
neighbourhood swami.
