Hello to all,
I've been reading a few of the messages on fairfield life, since I
joined recently, and am amazed at how much there is out there about
us not being given the bigger picture, on learning TM, of how we are
going into the life of a yogi without having been told this etc...,
and even stuff about meditation not being as easy as it sounds for
everyone.

I just want to say on this, since I learned TM in 2001 my meditation
experience has been generally very surface due to
obstruction/head/neck/shoulders with some only very occasional
pleasant relaxing experience. Some transcending (I presume) but over
7 years of meditation, generally it's been quite-to-very-to-extremely
difficult.

So early on in 2001 when things were dire (still are really :-)) I
happened to have a question session on my MJ birh chart and I
asked "what of my health" The answer came back, "head pain, face
pain, eye pain, and difficulties with the spiritual growth" I was
recently told this is due to become easy (particularly my meditation)
in March 2008.

It's been hell sitting on the surface in TM for so many years since I
learned back in 2001, my faith is tested daily, and when I hear
(Raja)John Hagelin tell the world it is soooo easy!!!1 Sometimes
(often) I feel bitter, but there you go hey??? So it's a bum deal I
SEEM to have given myself for the time being. I've had maybe 3 to
10 experiences that I feel were easy smooth transcending, and we
need to be grateful for those who have had what appears to us as a
stellar and smooth progress through TM such as John Hagelin, Raja
Nader Raam etc.

The point behind the whole TM movement's self marketing is surely to
say what is possible. Yet we complain when it all SEEMS impossible
(and if you haven't guessed I have complained a lot in myself, and
with my TM teacher). But if we buy a brand new car, and it breaks
down in the 1st month, how hard is it to admit that it is our own
over-use of accelerator (or bad gear changing)etc. that broke it down
(especially if we have a spasm disorder in our foot, as an analogy).
We say "Ooooohhh I wouldn't get an Audi!!!, the gearboxes are awful"
LOL

Please excuse me for my passion on this, I complain in the same way
as the rest of TMer complainers, but it's a mindfulness thing with
me, the actual truth is always there. It's hard, but we need to see
the flyers to even think of trying to crawl sometimes, No?

All the best to All
Simon
P.S. I feel embarrassed, as I just thought, as I was about to
click "Send" that Maharishi wouldn't have expended the energy to
write this, if he agrred with my feelings, but I am just a boy yet.
