Barry approves of Lawson's latest stint here
because Lawson spent much of it arguing with me.

Says Barry, the ultimate elitist of any forum.
(Love to see how he'd respond to somebody
trying to excuse me or raunchydog overposting
by suggesting that our ability to keep track of
the number of our posts was "obscured" by our
having been "suckered into an argument"!)

And of course Barry is fantasizing about Lawson
having been suckered into an argument by me. In
fact, Lawson intervened in two different
discussions I was having with somebody *else* to
challenge my statements, and then wouldn't or
couldn't let go. If anybody got suckered into
arguments, it was me, by Lawson.

Actually, what's REEEEELY REEEEELY STOOOOPID is
to make up elaborate fantasies about what
someone else thinks and spend great amounts of
time, effort, and spleen bashing that person
on the basis of those fantasies--something that's
been a staple of Barry's contributions to
electronic forums ever since I've known him.

And what's even STOOOOOOPIDER is to avoid
reading what the bashee has said and then
expend even more time and effort delivering
what one perceives to be a stinging rebuttal
to an argument the bashee never made, as Barry
went on to do regarding elitism in the military.
I've dealt with that in a separate post.

<snip>

And now Barry launches yet another desperate
appeal to FFL participants to avoid reading
posts by the two individuals (no coincidence
that they're both women) whom he currently
finds most threatening:

Barry has made this same appeal concerning my
posts over and over again, and it's a source of
acute frustration to him that he never gets
anywhere with it. His vain hope is that if
people don't read my posts, he won't have to
make any effort to have his own posts make
sense; he'll be able to indulge his fantasies
and bash those people and groups that threaten
him without fear of substantive rebuttal, since
I'm the only one here who appears to be willing
to take on his vicious nonsense.

He thinks that if he can get people not to read
my posts, I'll get discouraged and shut up.

The definition of insanity is doing the same
thing over and over and expecting a different
result.

Barry, my friends, is insane.
