I have a pitta/kapha constitution.  Since my lineage worships Kali my 
guru mantra is very heating, in fact my guru chuckled and told me I 
would probably get welts from practicing it (yet to see that) but it is 
heating.   However yogis will do things to counteract the heating such 
as eating pitta pacifying foods and herbs, using sandalwood paste on the 
forehead, etc.
