I am not challenging your view, but adding a bit of context -- perhaps. The Moojahidden in Afganistan who drove out the Russion invaders in the 80's -- aided by massive CIA support (See "Secret War of Charlie Wilson) were for the most part quite strict muslims. However, the CIA found that the 1000's of mules they shipped over for the Moojahidden to bring arms to the mountain regions, were the object of substantial "amourous advances" by some Moojahidden "warriors". However as one CIA operative noted, ~'in this culture it is important to note who is doing what to whom. Since the Moojahidden were doing it to the mules, and not the othe way around, no honor was lost, it was an accepted act in that culture'.
