Most of them were proved false.  The Swift Vets
were unable to prove the rest.

There's little doubt about that.  It's truly
pathetic that a pack of liars were able to
derail the campaign of a person who was very
highly qualified to be president.

There were a few cases in which that's what it boiled
down to.  However, the people telling the anti-Kerry
stories in those cases were proved to have told so many
*other* lies that they didn't have much credibility.
