You are right I didn't do a google search. However the criteria I have heard that was used in Nam was much harder than getting a scratch. I had heard that one needed to actually lose combat time from a wound. I suppose it could have changed. But the two wounds I mention of Kerry's were self inflicted  AND not in combat, at least according to the witnesses that were there. There was no enemy fire. At least with Bob Dole he was in combat and attempted to throw a grenade at the enemy. I don't know if anybody ever made an issue by accusing Dole of ASKING for the medals.
