That's exactly what happened.  (And Kerry's 
defeat was mentioned only in passing; the
discussion that developed from MDixon's "poke"
was about the validity of the Swift Boat Vets'
accusations.  MDixon didn't "harp" on Kerry's
defeat, nor did the "liberals" insist that he
wasn't really defeated--to the contrary, in
fact.)
