According to the chart below, only China, Germany, Japan, the Soviet Union, and 
Yugoslavia lost more military personnel than the US.

Doesn't that imply that Europe "bought into" the
"need" to "shelter behind American skirts?" 

In other words, although the contribution to 
Euro-defense during WWII by the Americans cannot
be denied, it has been often *exaggerated* by 
both Americans and Europeans, in the decades 
since, to get Europeans to "buy into" the need
to keep fueling the American Military Industrial
Complex. 

And there is simply no question that the Americans 
have used this "We owe the Americans our lives" 
mentality to rape Europe economically and in many 
other ways ever since. And with Europe's full 
cooperation.

Of *all* the nations whose troops were involved
in World War II, Americans contributed the fewest,
and *lost* the fewest soldiers.

Compare and contrast to the image they have care-
fully projected to the world since.
