thought was by Katz, but is now listed as translated by MMY!

Maharishi did the translation and commentaries, Vernon did the english
language. 
How difficult is that to understand ?
 
I didn't realize he did the translation of the Sanskrit verses, I thought
Katz did. One reason I believed that was because I thought the Maharishi
didn't know Sanskrit.
 
I heard years ago that MMY and Vernon Katz worked on the Gita translation
and commentary - no one else. Vernon read various translations to MMY and
together they cobbled together what MMY determined to be the purport of each
verse. Probably with each verse, Vernon referred to the original Sanskrit as
well.
