---I do not consider myself in any way an expert on these studies. However,it is my understanding that there have been problems cited with many of these studies eg how depression is measured.Of course this is also the case with alot of clinical research.It's also worth mentioning that alot of this research is funded by drug companies.I don't think this means that these studies are not legit but there is at least a possibility that these studies are not providing the full story re SSRIs which was illustrated by recent revelations about SRRIs and teenage suicide.However,it is still my position that based on what I have seen with pts the SRRIs do provide significant therapeutic effects for manny pts .Kevin
