We already pay extraordinarily high taxes in this country. Our SS fund has been used as a resevoir for tax refunds to the wealthy and for public funding of wars, and corporate subsidies, etc. All of that comes out of the SS fund, which is paid for almost entirely by the lowest 99% of wage-earners.
