If someone who has a copy of Maharishi's Science of Being and Art of
Living handy, the original version, would kindly look for this great
quote (paragraph really) on Identification and post it that would be
grand, it would shed light on this discussion. It goes something like
(this is a paraphrase):

Seekers of enlightenment should not be afraid of identification...
OR 
Identification strikes fear in the hearts of seekers...

and then he goes on to address the issue which, to me, relates to the
conversation in this thread.
   
If no one has a SOBAOL readily available I will go digging in my
