Uh, no. Scranton is currently running for the Republican *nomination* against two other candidates (one of them a former football player name of Swann). There were a few political cartoonists who did, and some very left-wing columnists. And of course they weren't denigrating her for being black, but rather for having drunk the Kool-Aid of the white Republican right wing, which does not exactly have the reputation of having black folks' best interests at heart.
