Yes, levels that could not be asked for prior to "serving up the pudding." > MMY immediately and firmly rejected this approach, saying that his > programs have been fully proven by science and the leaders of society should be wise enough to recognize this and pay fully upfront. Times change, he might give a different answer today -- for a somewhat different proposal than he heard then. I think the stickler for him would be the TMO, itself, paying upfront. Perhaps its a model of "going begging" that has cultural points of distaste for him. Thats why I believe that a more effective approach would be for a group of TMish investors to put up the seed capital of $5-10 million -- with a commensurate share of the to-be-formed company and claim on future earnings. Better than that would be to for a private company, with their own seed capital, to simply develop a licensing agreement with the TMO, which protects the "proprietary" interests and "purity of the teaching" issues of the TMO, promises them a good yet resonable share of the profits, and keeps them out of the management of the firm. MMY might still say no, but such a proposal would spark his interest and cause some wheels to turn in his mind. The TMO, however, has so much baggage, vis a vis the perception of the corporate world. Rajas, damn democracy, constitution of the universe, etc. And none of the programs / technologies listed in the service mix are "proprietary": i) long-daily practice cohernece creators, pundits adn yagyas, meditation and asana methods, jyotish ayur-veda, ghandarva music and SV. So perhaps a more effective approach would be for the private firm to license the technologies from AOL(SSRS), Amma, Karunyamayi, Gangaji, PujaNet pundits, AAVA (vedic astrologers), etc. Or better, still, license the best from each of the groups and have a diverse program not tied to any one group, taking away the proceletyzing image of promoting one groups methds: AOLs breathing and perhaps meditation technolgies, monks form Ammas group to provide long daily coherence programs on site, Amma's I AM techniques, asanas from the better schools, AyruVed from the leading proponents (who seem to shift from group to group anyway), pundits from PujaNet, Ama, Karunyamayi, and others groups, well trained AAVA amercian astrologers, advaita workshops from Gangaji and others -- perhaps focussing particularly on blocks to creativity, SV from SV trained architects, etc. And the "Creativity Enhancement" company would have the attention and blessing of success from all of these saints and teachers. > Actually this approach has been tried to some extent here in fairfield where there have been many companies with close to 100% meditators, in the midst of a large superradiance community, lots of money going to yagyas for the company, incorporations at the right jyotish time and all that (no pundits yet of course) and the overwhelming experience is that businesses succeed or fail here just like everywhere else for basically the same reasons as everywhere else. As someone pointed out, they beleived MMY would not adopt such an approach because its was held that MMY doesn't believe the technologies would actually work as promised. I am not as jaded, I know from experiene the methods would have a positive influence on a corporate work setting. The issue is how much. Your point about FF businesses is well taken. However, I think it may be a different model. I may be looking at it too simplistically, but I view most FF business, particulary those that had their day in the sun, as great efforts and successes by groups of talented and smart people, but who for the most part, created and ran such businesses despite having long corporate careers and the associated business experience. They were quick studies and picked up a lot, but most FF business were still "by the seat of your pants" type operations. The proposed venture begins with, as its target, long standing sucessful business who knmow their fields inside and out, have depths of managment expertise, and have large ranks well seasoned staff with great expertise. This is the business foundation, a starting point, that I don't believe many if any FF businesses had. Its to this foundation that I am suggesting adding the "light" of creativity and growth enhanncment initiatives. Anyway, its a nice thought experiment. Maybe at some point a group of us will try it, take it out for a spin. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Get fast access to your favorite Yahoo! Groups.
