Thank you! Me, too. I loved Chris Hedges, too. Maybe it's actually beginning to happen, what we couldn't pull off in the 60s because it wasn't time. If so, who'da thunk it would begin with an Arab spring and OWS? I mean did anyone prophecy that??? I really think Eisenstein is right about that. If it's gonna happen, it has to include everyone. We can't just replace one one percent with another one percent... We really do have to break the vicious cycle of dictatorship installation and war machine perpetuation, which the US became paramount at, and tax, interest, corporate, speculation, debt-servitude, money, government corruption, which we likewise did... So, in a way, I think Eisenstein is a bit "further along" than Hedges. Hedges still seems to despise the "enemy" as if "he" is not us. Still can't help being that poor slob hopeful idealist, what we could be instead of what we are (though I know the only "salvation" I've ever really experienced is when I've been fully able to accept all of what is, as it is), God help me (us). Still working on unifying that paradox, I guess...:-)
