Don't know the statistics, but that doesn't apply to large numbers of the National Guard and reserves, who are increasingly the ones doing the actual fighting. And as to those who enlisted post-9/11, I gather you mean they "knew" that in going off to invade Iraq, they were fighting terrorism, right? Certainly a large percentage of the American people *still* "know" Saddam had something to do with 9/11, as the Bush administration has done its best to convey, despite all the evidence to the contrary. Even those who were better informed about 9/11 most likely "knew" Saddam and his nonexistent WMD were a serious threat to the United States.
