its insane - I assume the cat would be indoor only, cuz even my 17 year old Siberian Forest cat licks her chops when she sees a mouse running by her as she suns herself on a log outside

As I understand it, cats are obligate carnivores, while dogs are not. Cats require taurine, which is only found naturally in animals, but there is synthetic taurine added to vegan cat food. The cat is getting complete nutrition, but I'm weirded out that people would impose a human ideology on animals.
