When I visit my family for Christmas I'll stay with my Mom who lives in 
Annapolis home of USNA.  So I may do some naval gazing but since midshipmen are 
young enough to be my grandsons I probably won't do any naval navel gazing.

Um, different significance of "navel" than in my formulation,
Ann: one doesn't gaze into it, one gazes out of it.
