Tell me the last time Maharishi sat in the same room with a large number of people from the real world, people who did not already practice TM, and allowed them to ask him questions, as if the questions mattered and actually answered them, as if the people mattered. The "hermit in the house" has rarely left the house since he met the Olsons. He has insulated himself from the world around him and its suffering as successfully as the young Buddha had been insulated from them by his parents. Buddha escaped and found compassion. Maharishi stayed behind the palace walls and found only greed.
