Thats a given. Similes (per "like"), as well as metaphors, are not
literal. Thats their point. Its a comparison, not an equality that is
being posed.

Your response is like the observations of a blind man in a dark room.
And don't go saying "but, duude, there is no blind man, there is no
dark room"! :)
