NASA spend billions trying to find life on Mars, they have a robot probe there at the moment. To keep up this Wellsian view of outerspace is quaint but surreal. Most sci-fi fantasists, like the alien abduction experiencers, have moved the subject of their dreams out of our vicinity and onto distant stars and constellations like the Pleidaes, which is another bad choice as far as sustaining organic life goes.
