Zimmerman was a wana-be cop who was too lazy to actually become one and preferred to zoom around in his housing area PLAYING cop - had he stayed in his car instead of trying to play cop, Martin would be alive today. Most of the people who think like you do don't give a sit about Martin because they think of him as a nigger, plain and simple. If anyone distorted the "facts" it was Zimmerman and his defense team, Martin was breaking no laws and had every right to be where he was, harming no one. Trayvon broke the law the moment he assaulted Zimmerman. For you to say Zimmerman didn't know how or when to use a firearm is irresponsible. I would assume in Florida, as in Texas, he had a permit to carry, which is given only after receiving training, which would include use and legality of when it could be used. The Sanford police department chose not to prosecute Zimmerman because of the circumstances and the law. Political pressure was applied until charges were brought and a million dollars thrown down the drain. The media lied about the facts, building false hopes of *justice*. MSNBC would have you think Zimmerman tracked, hunted down and shot, in cold blood, a poor innocent teenager simply because he was black and looked out of place. The young man that is dead is dead because of his own poor decisions. If Trayvon had to confront Zimmerman, all he needed to do is ask "Why are you following me"? He could have explained that he was a guest visiting his father and future step- mother and he was staying at the specific address he was at. That would have defused the whole situation. Simple communications. Instead, Trayvon attacked Zimmerman, who took a lot before using deadly force to stop it. I think Trayvon may have had marijuana induced paranoia. He then walked down a walk way to get an address to give dispatch so police would know the exact location. On his way back to his car, Trayvon jumped out and asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. The media has been less than honest with this case and has tried to deceive people early on. NBC was even caught editing 911 calls to make Zimmerman look as if he were racially profiling. "He looks black" was only said AFTER 911 dispatch had asked for the race of the suspect. Before that, Zimmerman had not mentioned race in his call to 911.< As I've said earlier, this was meant to start the *great race dialog* the nation was supposed to have, the one that was intended with Louis Gates. Remember when the President said "I don't know the facts, but the police acted stupidly". "If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon". God, I hope not.
