Richard, here's my debit card adventure, a card which I NEVER use. Except I had to in order to purchase gifts cards from the grocery store here. They wouldn't let me use my credit card! That didn't seem right to me but I went along with it because I was eager to finish my Christmas shopping! I think I'm a slave to convenience.

The only thing I use the debit card for is to get cash from the ATM at the drive-thru bank. Don't be using your debit card at the mall - that's my advice. The problem is the debit card - that's a problem to get that money back. Hopefully your bank would flag a purchase made with your debit card in Paris, France, when you live in Paris, Texas and just bought an ice cream at the DQ an hour before.
