My very first hop was indeed a sidhi. Someone on my flying block recommended I think to myself "I want to hop" and I did and I went straight up. I was sitting in full lotus with my back straight, and there's no way I can do the usual hopping that is half shakti and half muscular effort in full lotus with my back straight. Someone witnessed it, too, so I know it happened.
