So what was wrong with the show?

*/You mean, besides the fact that it was blatant ripoff of "Under the Dome" cross-pollenated with "Wayward Pines" and a dozen other movies and TV shows, and that the writing sucked? As for the level of characterization and the supposed levels of intelligence the characters are supposed to represent and appeal to, did you not get a hint from the fact that they killed off everyone over 21 in the first episode? THAT is the demographic they're writing for, and writing down to.

/*LOL! Apparently you didn't read my second paragraph. I even made a joke about people over 21 dying off. Yeah I expected it to be for a CW type demographic. Usually those shows don't keep me around after I've checked out a 2nd and maybe 3rd episode. I want to see what they do with it. I watch TV shows obviously for a different reason than you do.

*/
*/It's not just me. Check out the 25% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the only two reviews posted so far on the IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4132692/reviews/*

/*Maybe like you they were looking for talking Pandas? *//*
*/
*/I honestly think that Netflix decided to dole this series out week by week instead of a whole season at a time so that they could keep open the possibility of cancelling it after a couple of episodes if it develops no word of mouth.
/*

/*Ahem, I gave the reason for the weekly dole out which apparently you missed.

They clearly decided to trickle this one out one episode at a time because they knew that anyone forced to sit through the first episode would be so pissed off at Netflix for producing such a piece of junk that they would sue for a refund if they had been forced to buy a whole season's worth. Two things amaze me about this -- 1) that this horrible show got made, and 2) that Bharitu's standards are so low that he actually thought it was "pretty good."

"Between" debuted last night no Netflix. Yes really, last night. It was
announced to debut the 21st but as of late afternoon all you could do
was put in your "wish list". But checking a little after 9 PM there it
was. Unlike other "Netflix originals" they will be launching a new
episode weekly instead of all at once. Part of this may be due to a
deal with a Canadian broadcaster who will be showing it over the air.
OTOH, NBC is supposedly launching all episodes of "Aquarius" at once VOD.

"Between" is an apocalyptic thriller about the community of "Pretty
Lake" where suddenly and mysterious people over 21 begin to die off.
Guess none of their comp sci students will ever live to have a job at
Google or Netflix. The series is by a producer of "24" and I thought
the first episode was quite good but then apocalyptic thrillers if not
too sophomoric are my "cuppa tea".
