My letter to Yahoo: I am the founder and moderator of FairfieldLife - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/. As the group description indicates, we discuss a broad range of topics, but the discussions are generally related to spirituality. The group should be in the Religion & Beliefs > Spirituality category (http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Religion___Beliefs/Spirituality) and I think that's where I originally put it. But recently it was moved to the Romance_Relationships/Adult category (http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Romance___Relationships/Adult). I don't know whether a human Yahoo editor moved it or it was moved automatically because certain words were used in some post or because the words "sexuality" and "homosexuality" are used in the group description. Whatever the reason, romance, relationships and other adult topics are seldom, if ever, discussed on FairfieldLife. I would like to request that you reassign us to the Religion & Beliefs > Spirituality category. Being in the adult category is an undeserved handicap. Users can't access the group on public computers, such as in libraries, FairfieldLife no longer comes up in "Find a Group" searches within http://groups.yahoo.com/, and there are probably other problems that I haven't discovered yet. If you would like me to edit the group description or impose restrictions on members to prevent our being assigned to the adult category in the future, I would be happy to.
