There were 17 choices at one time.They have been whittled down, fair and
square, to 2 or 3, if you count Kasich.Trump appeals on an emotional level vs
Cruz on a more intellectual level. Kasich's appeal is emotional as well, being
"we have to stop them both at all costs or we're gonna die!"
Most of the criticism that I see of Cruz seems to be centered on "nobody likes
him" or his religious up- bringing.The "nobody likes him" reason has it's
roots in that he won't play ball( surrender his core beliefs) with the party
elites, which is also one of his strong points. His religious views seem to
scare more liberals(Maya and Bharitu) as if he were going to *Talibanize* the
federal government.*Repugnants* aren't offering any choice to liberals. They
already have their own via the Democrat party. However, many see Trump as a
Democratic Trojan horse. He campaigns as a super staunch conservative, throwing
red meat to those wanting change but his past actions and thoughts were usually
in line with New York liberal values, pay to play, abortion on demand,
nationalized healthcare, trade protectionism, etc. "Know a tree by the fruit
it bares".

Let's face it - the Repugnants are not offering much of a choice this election
cycle. If anyone were to ever call me a "conservative" I'd be appalled whereas
many take that title with pride. What a strange world we live in.
