Or that they have read or heard elsewhere.  MMY's
definition is pretty standard, as I believe I've
pointed out before.

I'd be *very* surprised if anyone thought it had
descended from the heavens full-blown, although
they might argue that (a) they didn't hear it *just*
from MMY (see above); and (b) from whatever source(s)
they heard it, they didn't just swallow it whole but
reflected on it and ultimately decided it was plausible
on the basis of their own understanding, observation,
and experience.

Again, "taught to them" is a weasel phrase used for
the purpose of loading the argument.

And this applies *especially* to the premise that the
enlightened person spontaneously acts according to the
laws of nature and "doesn't make mistakes," because
that is so contradictory to ordinary experience (albeit
they may not understand what "doesn't make mistakes"
means--see wayback's earlier post for a really good
rundown).
