The operative phrase, of course, being "more often than not." Obviously there are exceptions. Moreover, liking "Velvet Elvis" paintings doesn't necessarily preclude being wowed by a Rambrandt. Individual tastes may take odd detours, but there's a substantial body of work about which there is an enduring consensus (although it sometimes takes quite a while to form). ------------------------ Yahoo!
