My spouse and I were also on Mallorca Fiuggi and heard the same lecture. Like you, we did not think it a technique, just a simple thing to do if and when we had children. We used it with both of our children, no puja, just whispering. We have not told others to do this, just did it because we heard it directly from Maharishi. Even if MMY was angry later when asked about this, I feel fine about it. In our lecture, everyone I knew went away thinking he was talking about us using this.
