I gave up on the computer industry about 10 years ago when I was passed
over for an entry level programming position using MUMPS because
I "didn't know Windows well enough."

Excuse? I know how to run a text editor, and its compiled (atthat
point) to run on mainframes, so what is the Windows BS?

The fact that I was about 20 years older than the guys interviewing me
was likely the real problem.
