Wow, well at least you survived OK. Makes me wonder what would've happened if you completed the circuit by placing your tongue to the roof of your mouth? I never really got the burning, but more like electrical shocks, sounds and lights. Once I learned to circulate the energy and balance the elements, it all went away.
