The point is we don't have as much time as we used to. We, that includes Europe, have been trying to deal and negotiate with Iran for years now concerning this matter. It's not just the United States that has tried working with Iran. As a matter of fact the Administration has at times taken a back seat to allow other European nations including Russia to work out a deal for them to have nuclear energy without the risk of them developing a nuclear arsenal. So if there is a lack of creativity, it's not just on the part of the United States. It's everybody's problem.
