Actually this guy may be Pakistani.  I should ask him.

Almost all of them that I've encountered are delightfully
friendly.  They also have a wonderful flirting repertoire,
even with women my age.

This same guy was flirting outrageously with me at one
point, then suddenly turned very serious and told me,
with the deepest respect, that I reminded him of his
grandmother.  I was a bit startled for a second, then
I took it as a great compliment.
