Of course HDTV is a *streaming* version. :) It is MPEG-2 transport
stream packets (188 byte) with an AC-3 channel or two. So are these HD
torrents such as DivX files? Lost is broadcast in 720p so a DivX file
sans commercials is about 1.2 GB at 3500 kbps compression. Or are then
SD or even lo-def for iPod or PSP (320x240) as MPEG-4?

The US has taken to that in the last few years, introducing some summer
series. There are a few lined up for this summer. The nets keep trying
all kinds of things to get audiences back that HBO and Showtime have
stolen from them. :) The main season though still starts late in the
fall (much later than it used to be).
