Speaking for myself, my two best friends and several
other good friends are former TMers (were never "part
of the TMO," but then I wasn't either), and we have
terrific parties.

Once in a while one of them will ask me if I'm still
doing TM, and when I say I am, they'll say, "Well,
good for you!" Otherwise the topic doesn't come up
much. I've never had any arguments with any of them
about TM, nor do they seem to feel the need to trash
it. A couple of them have said they kind of wished
they'd kept it up but just couldn't find the time.
At least one of them still recommends TM to people
she knows that she thinks could benefit by it.

I do suspect I wouldn't much enjoy attending parties
composed of folks like Barry and Curtis who can't
leave their experience with TM behind and who appear
to be compelled to dump on it constantly (and
especially those who, like Barry, have surrounded
themselves not just with barbed wire but with machine-
gun turrets to shoot down any TMers who might dare
say something positive about TM or MMY in their
hearing).

Actually, I suspect my friends who are former TMers
wouldn't enjoy such a party either.
