Right you are! The vessel in question, the Bright Artemis, had taken
on crude oil in both Oman and Saudi Arabia prior to this incident.

In 2004, Halliburton was awarded the chief contract ($400-500M)in
Oman for oil exploration and drilling, so it is a safe bet that the
oil that has spilled was a result of Hallibuton's activities in Oman.

Wow , now that's some heavy karma man. All  Hallliburton,  did was find and develop the oil fields and some how they are responsible for the Japanese ship leaking it in the Indian ocean. Do you think you might share some of that responsibility for buying and using any products made form oil?
