Where di you find this statistic? I checked online. Most curde oil is considered somewhat
high in sulfur content. I couldn't find reports saying that Venuzela's crude is signficantly
worse than the world average in that regard.

BTW, a huge part of our oil comes from Venuzuela. Just because you don't buy driectly
from CITCO doesn't mean you're not buying gas refubed frin Venezuelen crude.

I don't think I provided any statistics in my comment Spair. I repeated what I have heard mentioned many times in the past and more recently by experts in the oil industry. Venezuelan crude is called heavy crude and is harder to pump out of the ground and refine. Oil from the middle east is usually referred to as sweet crude because it is light and easy to pump with less trash in it.< As far as being absolutely sure I'm not buying gasoline made from Venezuelan oil, you're right, you never really know , but I do know that CITGO is made from Venezuelan heavy crude.
